Remembering Pearl Harbor Day

Writer: Ed SipeEd Sipe

Each year on Dec. 7, Survivors, veterans & visitors from all over the world come together to remember those who were killed during the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. Also, 1,178 people were injured in the attack, which permanently sank 2 U.S. Navy battleships (USS Arizona & USS Utah) and destroyed 188 aircraft. On Aug. 23, 1994, Congress designated Dec. 7 as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Remember to fly the flag in remembrance this week.
